Teresa Pennell Brown was born October 17, 1967 to Larry and Jo Ann (Austin) Pennell. She was widowed in January 2003 and has two sons. Joseph Larry Brown and Jonathan Lynn Brown. Teresa and her children reside in the Whittenburg community of Alexander County.

Teresa attended both Caldwell Community College and Wilkes Community College taking courses in Business and Nursing. She enjoys learning new things and loves a challenge. She has been employed with the Law Office of Harbinson & Brzykcy since December 2003. Prior to her employment with Harbinson & Brzykcy she worked with the Alexander County Department of Social Services for 15 years.
