With nearly 45 years of legal experience in Iredell County, David Parker has cultivated a diverse range of skills, tackling everything from complex business mergers to high-stakes litigation. His legal prowess has been tested in prestigious appellate courts such as the Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Notably, David serves as the General Counsel for Langtree at the Lake, a remarkable 400-acre development boasting four miles of shoreline along Lake Norman. In this role, he has been instrumental in securing and finalizing HUD underwritten and conventional loans, private equity investments, and special assessment bonds.

Beyond business matters, David's practice encompasses a wide array of legal challenges, ranging from complex equitable distribution family law cases to defending communities against environmentally hazardous developments. He is known for his commitment to ensuring justice and protecting the interests of his clients.

While his expertise covers various areas, he currently focuses primarily on business creation and planning, business internal governance, complex civil litigation, and land use and finance. David's legal practice has spanned across North Carolina from Wilmington to Asheville and in different states, including Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Maryland and Mississippi, as well as North Carolina, Tennessee and Delaware corporations. He has handled appellate cases with the Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

His practice also involves addressing complex equitable distribution family law matters, catastrophic workers' compensation injuries, and defending neighborhoods against environmentally hazardous development.

With over four decades of experience in commercial litigation, David currently has pending cases in both the NC Business Court and Federal Court pertaining to business disputes. He notably served as lead counsel in a three-week jury trial, resulting in a substantial award of nearly $3 million, which was trebled and his client awarded attorney fees due to the circumstances of the case.

Regarding commercial transactions, David has facilitated real estate deals involving the creation of real estate LLCs and financing for projects including two major multi-family projects totaling $65 million and $116 million respectively. His involvement encompasses all aspects of the transaction, including the preparation of HUD 221(d)(4) documentation, Private Placement Memos and amendments, Operating Agreements, Condominium Declarations, and Special Assessment Bonds. He has even lobbied the Local Government Commission to modify its regulations to enable the issuance of such bonds. David has also successfully obtained Obama-era Special Bonds for clients and has represented businesses in securing PPP and EIDL Loans, as well as "conventional" Section 7(a) SBA loans, while managing the collateralization process for such loans.
